About The Book
Joel and Jerry are excited to spend their winter break at Grandpa Nappy’s house, but they have to get past a very big guard first. Nappy lives with a German Shepherd named Tazman, who is so protective that some people call him a “devil in disguise.” Since the boys were very little the last time they visited, they don’t remember much. At first, Nappy warns them to be careful, but it doesn’t take long for Tazman to decide he likes his new friends. By nightfall, the boys are wrestling and playing with the big dog right in front of the warm fireplace.
